Hungry Hedgehogs - Now with added Fleas!

I have updated my free print and play board game about hedgehogs to be more accurate to their feeding habits, and to include fleas as a new foil card!

If you've already downloaded the previous version and just want to download the new cards please use the links below and print the indicated number of times.

Fleas Card print x3
Bowl of Water Card print x4
New Earwig Card print x5
New Mealworm Card print x5

Please remove all the old Earwig and Mealworm cards from your deck. Also remove 4 Birdseed Cards, 2 Fence cards and 1 Rain card.
The new cards replace these cards!

Hoggles Horrid Habit

Hoggle was up very early this week, and it turns out he was up to mischief!

This isn't the first time Hoggle has put Pog off her tea, he's also done a mega poop right in the doorway to the restaurant before now so that no one could get in without stepping in it. No surprises that no one went in the restaurant after Hoggle that night!

Kinver Country Fayre - Postponed

Unfortunately due to flooding Kinver Country Fayre has been postponed till 4th September!

Kinver Country Fayre

We're going to be at Kinver Country Fayre next weekend (Sunday) So why not drop by and say hi!
We're sharing a tent with Plushiemorphs, so you might spot them first.

The Hurdling Hedghog!

Because of the wet weather forecast I decided to put the outdoor food bowl under the mini greenhouse for protection so the hedgehog nuggets didn't get soggy. (No one likes soggy nuggets! XP)
I assumed the hedgehogs would have no trouble getting over the bars at the bottom of the greenhouse as they clamber over a pipe of a similar height when they come in the gate.

It seems Pog had a bit of a learning curve on the best method to get past them however.

It's Itchy Being A Hedgehog

If you ask people what they know about hedgehogs they will often say they have lots of fleas.
But did you know hedgehog fleas are specific to hedgehogs?
That means that although a hedgehog flea might jump onto you, or your dog or cat (or guinea pig in our case) it is very unlikely to bite and can't survive on them.

That's no comfort to the hedgehogs though.
I can't help but feel sorry for them when they are all itchy, but at the same time, it really amuses me to see them having a good scratch.
Also it gives an amazing view of their surprisingly long legs, and shows that they are amazingly flexible!

Pog vs The Giant Snail

When I'm not watching cheeky hedgehogs I sometimes make ceramics. I made a giant snail shell for the garden, it looks like Pog was hoping it was a real snail! :)

Dinner and Dancing

The cold weather isn't dampening the spirits of Hoggle, who is busy trying to woo any lady hedgehog that visits!
He does things properly though, with dinner...

So far the ladies don't seem all that impressed, but I'm thrilled to get this hedgehog behaviour on film!

Hedgehog Party!?

I've been so busy this last week I haven't had time to check the wildlife camera, but I know the hedgehogs have been busy from all the poop they keep leaving me.
They also made a right mess in the hedgehog restaurant, it looks like they had a party in there!

In other news, I found this snail munching on hedgehog poop, ah the circle of life! XD
