It's Itchy Being A Hedgehog

If you ask people what they know about hedgehogs they will often say they have lots of fleas.
But did you know hedgehog fleas are specific to hedgehogs?
That means that although a hedgehog flea might jump onto you, or your dog or cat (or guinea pig in our case) it is very unlikely to bite and can't survive on them.

That's no comfort to the hedgehogs though.
I can't help but feel sorry for them when they are all itchy, but at the same time, it really amuses me to see them having a good scratch.
Also it gives an amazing view of their surprisingly long legs, and shows that they are amazingly flexible!
